A great match at Blantyre Victoria Juniors in the Vince McGlinchey Final. Bailleston went in at half-time
deservedly 1-0 up after dominating the first half. Invac came out fighting in the 2nd half and had at least 3 good chances
to score before Baillieston added a 2nd. They seemed to have killed the match off when their captain scored a 3rd just
minutes later.
Invac have shown a fighting spirit this season though and didn't stop trying. Paul Hunter capped a
fine season with a goal with 15 mins left to give Invac a glimmer of hope, drilling through a ruck of players and past the
keeper. When Wullie Robertson lobbed the Baillieston keeper to add a 2nd with 10 mins left they had Baillieston rocking,
but it was too little too late as Baillieston held on for a 3-2 victory to lift the Vince McGlinchey Shield.
